Cardiac Physiologist (Basic Grade - Maternity Cover) Dublin

Applications are invited for the position of Basic Cardiac Physiologist

The Cardiac department carries out a wide range of non-invasive investigations including ECGs, Stress Exercise Tests, BP monitors, Holter monitors, transthoracic echocardiograms, Dobutamine stress echoes, and pacemaker and ICD checks.

The physiologists provide technical support in the invasive Cath Lab for diagnostic and interventional procedures, IVUS studies, Pacemaker and ICD implants,EP studies and TAVI procedures.

Requirements:

Possess the BSc in Clinical Measurement Science or equivalent.

Be a member of the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science.

Have knowledge of ECG interpretation and Stress testing.

Experience in Cardiac Cath Lab essential

Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Cardiac Physiologist (Locum - CPL) UHW

Cardiac Physiologist required for a locum assignment to start asap with an acute hospital in Waterford, excellent opportunity.

The successful applicant will be required to work in conjunction with the Cardiology Team in providing a range of diagnostic and monitoring services to cardiac patients.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a state of the art department with an excellent support structure.

The department provides a full range of non-invasive and invasive cardiac investigations and treatments including; ECG, Echocardiogram, Exercise Stress Testing, Blood pressure monitoring, Holter Monitoring, Event Monitors, Pacemaker and Defibrillator follow-up, Transoesophageal Echocardiogram, Coronary Angiography and Coronary Angioplasty and stenting procedures.

Interested candidates are required to:

Possess a Degree in Clinical Physiology / Clinical Measurement Science or a Certificate in Medical

Physics and Physiological Measurement (Prior to 2005) or other  qualification deemed equivalent by the IICMS

Ideally have some post graduate experience working in a non-invasive and/or invasive setting

The ability to perform and interpret ECHO is desirable

St. James's Hospital Dublin is recruiting a Tutor in Clinical Measurement GI Physiology.

The post holder will undertake the duties appropriate to a Tutor/ Senior GI Physiologist. This is a unique opportunity for the candidate to design, develop and teach a curriculum suitable for the training of GI Physiologists within Ireland within a clinical setting. This post will allow the post holder to develop and expand their experience in supervisory and management areas, whilst continuing to provide a quality service for patients by ensuring that every patient is treated as an individual in terms of courtesy, kindness, efficiency, efficacy, and confidentiality

This role will also involve working with a dedicated team in the GI Function Unit under the direction of the Chief II GI Physiologist. The post holder will be responsible for facilitating the teaching of students.  The post holder will be involved in establishing a vision for the future of the Department with the Chief II GI Physiologist and the Clinical Director of the GI Function Unit.

Respiratory Physiologist (Senior) Cork

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Grade Respiratory Physiologist to join our team at Mater Private Cork where we offer a complete range of tests and treatments for lung disease and other related illnesses.

The successful candidate will provide diagnostic services to patients with respiratory illness and deliver a specialist service to those patients.  Working with the multi-disciplinary team and Respiratory Consultant the Physiologist will play a pivotal role in the development of this service.

Candidate Requirements

Respiratory Physiologist (Long-term Locum) Kildare

Respiratory Physiologist required for long-term locum position with leading acute hospital, Kildare.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified Respiratory Physiologist to gain excellent experience and further develop their career in a dynamic hospital laboratory setting.

The successful candidate will join an expanding Respiratory Department and perform and analyse a range of diagnostic tests including full lung function tests while providing exceptional patient care.

Interested candidates will be required to:

Conduct a full range of routine pulmonary function tests including, spirometry, reversibility, diffusion capacity and static lung volumes

Conduct specialised pulmonary function tests including inhalation challenge tests

Conduct routine calibration, quality control and preventative maintenance.

Highlight abnormal and/or inconsistent results to the senior staff member/supervisor and take corrective action, if necessary.

Prepare the patient for procedures and undertake education where necessary e.g. teaching patient how to use home monitoring devices and therapy devices such as inhalers.
