Ms Patricia Lawlor

Patricia Lawlor Is the Chief II GI Clinical Measurement Physiologist in St James Hospital, past president of the IICMS and chair of the IICMS Faculty of GI Physiology. Trish was the first GI Physiologist to be appointed in Ireland and has been a leader in developing the role of GI Physiologist in Ireland through her work in the IICMS. Trish continues to have a special interest in the development of education, training and CPD courses for GI Physiologists in Ireland. Trish is an independent Accredited Practitioner in GI Physiology with The Association of GI Physiologists (AGIP, UK). She has authored and co-authored academic papers, abstracts and posters for GI Conferences in Ireland, the UK and USA. Trish was the 2018 recipient of the IICMS Physiologist of the Year.

Her work in the GI Function unit involves the diagnostic testing of patients using High-Resolution Manometry, Impedance Manometry, 24hr pH monitoring, 24hr Laryngo-pharyngeal pH monitoring, 24hr pH Impedance monitoring and Hydrogen Breath Testing.
